“Everyone is valuable”. This is the first German fundamental right in the constitution (Grundgesetz). This has a total of 19 basic rights that are extremely important. The state must respect these rights. This is how people are protected. Everyone is valuable means every person is to be respected as they are. They are important for living together and to ensure peace and justice.
