Higher wages for apprentices and comparable qualifications

Apprentices can earn more money in the future. From January 1, 2020, the minimum pay in the first year of training should be 515 euros per month. It increases continuously until the training is completed. Part-time training is also to be made easier. In addition, there will be new internationally comparable qualifications such as “Bachelor Professional” for master craftsmen and “Master Professional”, for fields like business economics. They should be equivalent to the university degrees Bachelor and Master and strengthen vocational training. www.bundesregierung.de/breg-de/aktuelles/duale-berufsausbildung-weiter-staerken-1611074
