Parents to receive more money next year

Parents can calculate with more money, starting January 1st, 2021. The child allowance (Kinderzuschlag or short KiZ) for families with a low income is being raised on this date. It is being raised to up to 205 Euros for each child and month. Parents will receive the child allowance in addition to child and housing benefits. Parents can check if they’re eligible for the child allowance using the KiZ-Lotsen by the family benefits department.
