Return from travel only with test and quarantine

Those who travel abroad must take a corona test before returning to Baden-Württemberg. This applies to everyone traveling by plane, no matter which country they’re arriving from. Children who are under six years old don’t have to get tested. The test can be taken 48 hours before departure at the earliest. Those who don’t have a negative test result are not allowed to board the plane. For now, this regulation applies until May 12th. Travelers who arrive by car or train from a high-risk-area must also get a negative test result before entering. They can register online in advance under www.einreiseanmeldung.de

Generally, a quarantine of at least ten days applies when returning from abroad. When entering from an area with a virus mutation, such as Brazil, Zambia or South Africa, 14 days apply. There are no visitors allowed during that time. This is dictated by the corona regulations of the country and state. The Robert-Koch-Institut (RKI) constantly updates the list of high-risk-countries under www.rki.de, keywords “internationale Risikogebiete” (international risk-areas).
