Intercultural Weeks from 23 September to 3 October

Under the motto “#offengeht” (“#openworks”), the Intercultural Week starts nationwide on Thursday with a wide range of events. In the district of Tübingen, 30 events offer examples of peaceful coexistence and good social interaction: the lectures, readings, exhibitions, cooking meetings, cultural offerings, church services and workshops deal with topics such as prejudice, discrimination and racism. “The intercultural week creates a platform for contacts and encounters. It stands for a culture of togetherness in diversity, for creativity, solidarity and mutual respect …”, says Luzia Köberlein, Integration Officer of the City of Tübingen.

In Rottenburg, the exhibition and reading “Volunteer Stories from the City of Rottenburg and the District of Tübingen” will be opened on Friday, 1 October, at 4 pm. “What have volunteers experienced in their work with refugees?” This exhibition is about making the diverse voluntary refugee work visible and thanking the volunteers. All the stories are published and can be read in a special magazine by tünews INTERNATIONAL: https://tunewsinternational.com/magazine-edition-211. Further detailed information on all events can be found at www.tuebingen.de/iwo. The Intercultural Weeks take place in accordance with the current Covid regulations of the state of Baden-Württemberg. Programme changes are possible due to Covid.
