Free Corona tests continue in Tübingen and Rottenburg

Baden-Württemberg will end free Corona tests on Monday, 11 October—except, for example, for children under twelve and people who cannot be vaccinated for medical reasons. Tübingen and Rottenburg are going their own way. In both cities, everyone continues to be tested free of charge. However, only those who are entitled to free rapid tests receive the written proof of the test (see above). In addition, in Tübingen and Rottenburg, unlike in the rest of the country, holders of the district bonus card and anxiety patients with a doctor’s certificate also receive a test certificate.

Visitors to old people’s homes are to be tested free of charge on site in future. The University Hospital in Tübingen also wants to offer visitors free rapid tests.

The test station in the doctor’s mobile on Tübingen’s market square is open Monday to Friday from 9 am to 3 pm, Saturday from 9 am to 1 pm and Sunday from 11 am to 2 pm. There is a special device there. It takes only a quarter of an hour to check whether positive rapid tests are correct or incorrect.

The test centre in Rottenburg on Eugen-Bolz-Platz is open daily, including weekends, from 9 am to 6 pm. Only at 12.30 p.m. does the staff take a short lunch break.
