Unvaccinated people have to stay outside in the 2G-model

The state government of Baden-Württemberg has changed its corona regulations. It is in effect starting Friday, October 15. The vaccination coverage is “still not high enough,” according to the state government. Consequently, not all restrictions can be lifted. Especially unvaccinated people fall seriously ill and have to get admitted to the hospital. Restrictions will only be loosened for vaccinated and recovered people. This is new: Organizers of concerts, theaters and city festivals as well as service providers (for example gastronomy and hairdressers) and distributors may operate under the 2G-model, if they want to. This means that they can decide to only let in people with proof of vaccination and recovery. Unvaccinated people have to stay outside in this case. However, organizers, service providers and distributors have to clearly state this in a notice. Then, vaccinated and recovered people don’t have to wear a mask anymore. Employees and staff will still have to wear a mask. Exceptions to the 2G-entry are only possible for those who can’t get vaccinated because of medical reasons as well as pregnant and nursing women. However, they need a negative rapid test result (which is free for them), which is also the same for youth until the age of 17, who no longer go to school. Restrictions don’t apply for children and students up to and including 17-year-olds.

If the number of people infected with corona doesn’t rise significantly and if organizers employ the 2G-rule, vaccinated and recovered people with proof also won’t have to wear a mask in integration courses, training and driving lessons anymore. There are no restrictions for private gatherings and parties, as long as the number of infected people doesn’t rise significantly.
