With the State Family Pass, children and their caregivers (usually parents and relatives) receive free or reduced admission to many excursion destinations in Baden-Württemberg. Up to four other people can also use the pass. In addition, “… this year, too, the State Family Pass enables a wide variety of inexpensive leisure experiences. In combination with the 9-Euro-Ticket, it is also even easier to go on excursions in Baden-Württemberg in August,” says Minister of Social Affairs and Integration Manne Lucha at the start of the 2022 summer holidays. The following groups of people are eligible: Families if they live in a household with at least three children (including foster or adopted children) and receive child benefit. Single parents receive the State Family Pass with one child if the child lives in their household and they receive child benefit for it. It also applies to families who live with a severely disabled child, receive child benefit, housing benefit or Hartz IV benefits or benefits under the Asylum Seekers’ Benefits Act (AsylbLG). Refugees from Ukraine can also receive a State Family Pass if they are registered with a municipality and receive benefits under the Asylum Seekers’ Benefits Act or Hartz IV benefits.
All eligible persons or families—regardless of income—can apply for the State Family Pass and the corresponding voucher card at the responsible municipal or local authority. The following documents are required for the application: Identity card or passport, proof of eligibility for child benefit (e.g. on the salary slip), for children with disabilities: In the case of children with disabilities: severely disabled person’s ID card, in the case of Hartz IV or child supplement recipients: benefit notification, in the case of asylum seekers: notification in accordance with the Asylum Seekers’ Benefits Act and a valid residence document:
