Another aid delivery from Tübingen has arrived in Kremenchuk. Representatives of the university town have handed over a VW van filled with aid supplies from the municipal utility company, as the town reports on its homepage. Tübingen has been an official solidarity partner city of the Ukrainian municipality since May of this year (see tun24051406).
The vehicle will be used to maintain the city’s infrastructure. Kremenchuk also received twelve power stations – large-capacity batteries – to supply shelters with electricity and thus provide light and charging facilities for cell phones. Due to the constant Russian attacks, the power goes out for several hours almost every day. Tools from the support package provided by the Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) and laptops from the city administration were also delivered.
With the help of GIZ, the city administration will deliver a large solar system with battery pack for the children’s hospital and vehicles for the building yard to Kremenchuk in the coming months. The city is also planning to purchase a large generator.
The city of Kremenchuk has sent a video as a thank you and for documentation purposes. It is entitled “Help from friends”: https://www.tuebingen.de/partnerstaedte#/43706
