The Deutschland-Ticket for young people in Baden-Württemberg is to become nine euros more expensive. From 1 January 2025, it will cost 39.42 euros per month. The price will also rise for the Deutschland-Ticket—from 49 to 58 euros. This was announced by the state government. As before, young people will be able to use the ticket to travel on local public transport throughout the country. Baden-Württemberg’s Transport Minister Winfried Hermann (Greens) sees the offer for young people as ‘a contribution to climate protection’. Joachim Walter (CDU), Tübingen District Administrator and President of the Baden-Württemberg District Association, praised the ticket as ‘an attractive offer for young people’.
