The city has awarded „Gute Stadt Tübingen“, an initiative by the Orthodox priest Alexei Volchkov from St. Petersburg, third place in the Integration Prize (see tun23092901). Its offer includes city tours and a social media channel. “This is a very great success and a high appreciation of our joint work,” commented the priest on his Telegram channel.
Volchkov informs people in the post-Soviet area about the history, culture and current events in Tübingen, thus building bridges between people separated by the war in Ukraine. The project offers a space to get to know each other and helps refugees to settle in Tübingen.
