Entrepreneurs with migration background create jobs in Germany

According to new figures from the Bertelsmann Stiftung, entrepreneurs with a migration background created over a million jobs nationwide. In Baden-Württemberg alone, they created 260,000 jobs in 2018. According to this, around 770,000 self-employed people throughout Germany have a migration background and in Baden-Württemberg there are 120,000. This means that the number of entrepreneurs with non-German roots increased significantly between 2014 and 2018, with the largest increase in Baden-Württemberg, North Rhine-Westphalia and Berlin.
