A Corona rapid test drive is offering free COVID-19 rapid tests in the district of Tübingen. Anyone who wants to visit people from risk groups can make sure they are not presently infected by taking a rapid test. The mobile doctor carries out the rapid tests on different days in Tübingen, Mössingen and Rottenburg. Anyone who wants to be tested must wear a mouth-nose covering and follow the distance rules. No registration is necessary for this. However, a quick test is not an alternative for the regular corona test. Anyone showing symptoms of Corona or who has had contact with an infected person must still contact the health department or their own family doctor directly. The locations and times of the doctor’s mobile are as follows:
Tübingen: Thursdays and Fridays from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Market square (Marktplatz) and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in front of the Tübingen City Museum (Stadtmuseum).
Mössingen: Tuesdays from 4 to 6 p.m. at the health centre (Gesundheitszentrum).
Rottenburg: Wednesdays from 4 to 6 p.m. behind the traffic training area in Jahnstraße.
“The times will change during the Christmas season, though. That’s when we’ll be at Tübingen’s market square a lot,” says Lisa Federle, the emergency doctor from Tübingen who initiated this campaign. As soon as the new times are known, tünews INTERNATIONAL will report them. The district association of the German Red Cross is backing the Corona quick test drive and also predominantly taking over the costs for it.
