High vaccination rate among Tübingen students

According to a survey conducted by the University of Tübingen among more than 4,000 students, 74 percent of those questioned have already been fully vaccinated. 92 percent have already received their first vaccination. Only 3.7 percent said they would not get vaccinated under any circumstances. This willingness to be vaccinated is significantly higher than in the overall population in Germany. This was reported by the University of Tübingen in a press release.

“The figures make it clear that the vast majority of students see the overwhelming benefit of a vaccination against Covid-19,” said Bernd Engler, Rector of the University of Tübingen. After three semesters of online studies, the students finally want to return to face-to-face studies, he said.

The University now also wants to offer vaccinations to all of the approximately 5,000 first-year students who will be coming to Tübingen for the winter semester. These vaccinations will take place in cooperation with the Tübingen Vaccination Centre from 16 August to 30 September in the Building Alte Archäologie, Wilhelmstraße 9, 72074 Tübingen. Anyone else interested can also book an appointment at Impfzentrum Tübingen – Paul-Horn-Arena Tübingen (tuebingen-impfzentrum.de). You can still get vaccinated without an appointment at the vaccination center in the Paul-Horn-Arena until 15 August.
