Parents are important role models regarding use of media, because children learn how to consume media by imitating their parents. The “SCHAU HIN!” Initiative by the Federal Ministry for Family, Seniors, Women and Youth together with ARD and ZDF recommends reflecting on your own media usage and not always being online. To do this, parents should regularly share their experiences with their children and agree on rules.
