Deutschland schließt iranische Konsulate

Als Reaktion auf die Hinrichtung des Deutsch-Iraners Jamshid Sharmahd in Teheran hat Außenministerin Annalena Baerbock die drei iranischen Generalkonsulate in Deutschland geschlossen. Das teilte die Ministerin am 31. Oktober in New York mit. Betroffen sind die Konsulate in Frankfurt/Main, München und Hamburg. Die Botschaft in Berlin bleibt offen. Auch die deutsche Botschaft in Teheran wird nicht geschlossen. „Sie wird genau hinschauen, die Menschenrechtssituation verfolgen, Visa ausstellen und unsere Haftfälle betreuen“, so Baerbock auf der Website des Ministeriums.
