The exchange has inspired me very much.

For the last two years, tünews has meant a lot to me, because working in the editorial team has been a big part of my everyday life. From March 2017 I worked as a volunteer, then as a working student in the project and at that time I did not know exactly what to expect. But I should realize that very quickly. First it was my job to supervise the radio show and to accompany writing processes. Then I was allowed to get more involved in the content planning of the editions and to design the layout. In all these tasks, intensive communication between the participants was particularly important. Tünews has grown a lot over the two years and has evolved. More and more exciting people have come to it. Each one of them shaped tünews and enriched it with his or her cooperation.

The tünews project offers space for exchange of experiences, realities of life, perspectives, languages and much more. People with or without a background as refugees can meet in the weekly editorial sessions. They can write about topics together that are relevant to them. The exchange takes place not only between the editorial staff, but also with the readership, at events with the audience and in the program NewcomerNews at the Radio Wüste Welle with the audience.

This exchange has really inspired me. I was confronted with issues I had never dealt with before. Through the debates in the team, we were able to develop a new, multifaceted view of the world and everyday Tübingen. We supported each other, valued our different opinions, taught each other words in different languages and proved that curiosity and openness to the unknown in the newspaper industry can lead to many exciting ideas. And we laughed a lot! I would like to thank all my colleagues for the great time and everything they have given me. Keep it up!
