If you have a problem with your landlord and are looking for help, the German Tenants’ Association (Deutscher Mieterbund) can help. They offer members advice and legal representation in all questions relating to rent, lease and landlords. The tenant association also stands up for the adjustment and improvement of the tenancy law. The German Tenants Association maintains 300 local tenant associations at more than 500 locations throughout Germany. However, it is not entirely free of charge. Members have to pay a contribution based on their income. For more information about the German Tenants’ Association in Tübingen: www.mieterbund-rt-tue.de
