“Female Fellows” is an organization in Stuttgart. It was established in 2018. “Our aim is a society in which diversity thrives and which everyone can help shape equally,” says Female Fellows on its website. Diversity also defines the organization’s team: The women are from different countries and have different focuses in their work.
The project for refugee women has developed continuously and has expanded to multiple cities. Eva Maria Lehmann has established this project together with Nour Othman in Tübingen. One of the project’s activities is the “Tandem Project”. It connects migrants and citizens so that they can support each other. They do this, for example, through different languages, translations, visits to authorities, but especially through the exchange of cultures and the participation in different activities, such as sports, yoga, cooking and so on.
Due to corona, there are currently no events taking place. However, the team is planning digital events.
But why are the organization’s offers only for women?
“Women play an integral part in the social inclusion and their willingness to integrate is not only of vital importance to their success, but to the success of the entire family,” says Nour Othman. Often, women are very committed, especially when it comes to the wellbeing and the success of their children. And: “This project has used women’s potential and strengthened and encouraged them to carry out their role and their life in Germany with confidence,” adds Nour Othman.
All offers are free. To participate in this project:
