Alleinstehende gesunde und arbeitsfähige erwachsene Männer dürfen derzeit nicht nach Afghanistan abgeschoben werden. Das hat der Verwaltungsgerichtshof (VGH) in Mannheim entschieden. Grund für das Abschiebungsverbot ist, dass sich durch die Corona-Pandemie die wirtschaftlichen Bedingungen massiv verschlechtert haben. Dem abgeschobenen Mann würde es voraussichtlich nicht gelingen, „auf legalem Weg seine elementarsten Bedürfnisse nach Nahrung, Unterkunft und Hygiene zu befriedigen“, heißt es in einer Pressemitteilung des VGH. Corona is preventing deportation to Afghanistan
Single, healthy and employable adult men can currently not be deported to Afghanistan. This was decided by the Higher Administrative Court (VGH) in Mannheim. The reason for the deportation ban is the fact that through the corona pandemic, the economic situation has worsened significantly.
