Social Services – Visits only with appointment

The social services public office in Tübingen is now open for visitors. However, visits are only possible in case of emergencies or matters that cannot be solved via telephone or E-mail. Taking an appointment is mandatory. A maximum of two persons are allowed to attend the appointment. Cover mouth and nose on public transport and in shops

As of Monday, 27th April, people in Baden-Württemberg will have to cover their mouth and nose while using public transport or while shopping. This “mask obligation” also applies to bus and train waiting areas. The regulation applies to everyone including and over six years of age.   The Tübingen District Office will open its doors to the public again on Monday, 4th May. One shelf for all

  In the entrance of the protestant community centre in the Kirchgasse 14 in Rottenburg, one can find non-expired foodstuffs on a wooden shelf for free. In cooperation with the group “foodsharing Rottenburg”, this “fair-share” is available for everyone who is in need of help and support during the corona pandemic. The shelf is located at the church’s outdoor area and is accessible at all times. Safety rules on public transport

From Monday, 27th April, it is mandatory to cover your mouth and nose with a mask, scarf or shawl on all buses and trains in Baden-Württemberg. The Rottenburger Tafel moved temporarily

The Rottenburger Tafel has found a temporary home in the local tithe barn (Zehntscheuer). The Tafel shop had to close due to its cramped premises. The service center is open for Tafel customers from Monday to Friday from 2.30 pm to 5 pm. Due to the larger rooms of the tithe barn, the distance rule can be followed properly. At the entrance, the admission staff ensures that a large safety distance is kept. Emergency childcare for more children

According to the regulations of the state of Baden-Württemberg which is meant to protect against the corona epidemic, kindergartens, day care centers and other childcare facilities are closed. Masks are mandatory from 27th of April

Doctor’s note via telephone call still possible

Employees who have a cold do not need to go to the doctor’s office in order to receive sick leave till the first week of May. They can get a doctor’s note after simply calling their doctor. This was announced by Josef Hecken, the chairman of the federal committee responsible for health care.
