Corona: Beware of quick test offers

Tests for the coronavirus will soon be available on the Internet. It is difficult for the normal consumer to assess the quality of such a test. For example, the National Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians warns of certain rapid tests. A test for the coronavirus should best be carried out only after consultation with the family doctor’s office and at the test center the doctor recommends. tun032502 Impressionen von der neuen Fieberamblanz des Landkreises Tübingen. This rate is 9.5% in Italy, 5.7% in the Netherlands, 5.2% in the UK and 4.7% worldwide. Nobody really understands why this is the case but there are various explanations from experts. On one hand, tests were carried out differently in different countries. A relatively large number of tests have been carried out in Germany,… Read More

Corona: Misleading medication

Medication that claims to act against the novel corona virus is being offered online with the label COVID-19. According to documents from the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), there is currently no medication against the coronavirus. Only symptoms such as fever or cough can be treated. It can, therefore, be assumed that the drugs offered online do not do what their label and advertising promises. tun032501 Impressionen zum Leben in Zeiten der Corona-Pandemie: Foto: tünews INTERNATIONAL; Wolfgang Sannwald, 25.03.2020 Latest information on Corona: Click here

Corona: People at higher risk

On 20th of March the Robert Koch Institute updated the list of people who are believed to have a higher risk of infection with the corona virus. The Institute points out that the risk of a serious disease increases steadily with increasing age from 50 to 60 years. The reason for this could be that the immune system of older people reacts less effectively than that of younger people. Among other things, this can lead to older people developing a lower fever or no fever at all, which means that they will go to the doctor far too late. If… Read More
