In four languages: Everything about fair employment

Which rights do employees have in Germany? And which duties? Those questions will be answered at an event on fair employment for refugees and migrants. The event is taking place—only for those who registered in advance—on Wednesday, June 23rd at the Rottenburg Rettungszentrum at Sülchenstraße 24 and begins at 5.30pm. Start with a friend in Tübingen

Since October 2017 the organisation “start-with-a-friend” unites refugees and locals in Tübingen. They connect interested persons who exchange ideas in tandems and participate in intercultural programs. A team of 11 full-time staff, 25 fellows and more than 300 volunteers has arranged over 6000 tandems in more than 20 cities across Germany. More relaxations for children, culture and sports

Girls and boys can be happy. Starting Monday, June 7th, they can meet with more friends. Until now, meetings of ten people from three households, plus children of those households under the age of 14, were possible. Now, up to five more children from any number of households can join. Alcohol prohibited at night in Tübingen’s historic center

The City of Tübingen is prohibiting alcohol in public places between 10 p.m. and 4 a.m. in the historic center. At night, alcohol can only be consumed in outdoor dining areas from restaurants. This regulation goes into effect starting June 2nd, and for now applies until July 4th. Meeting more people, fewer tests, in-person classes

In the District of Tübingen, the number of people infected with corona is sinking and has steadily been below the limit of 50. Consequently, there will be further relaxations starting Monday, May 31st, as the Tübingen District Office announced. Now, ten people from three different households can meet in private. New corona rapid test stations in Tübingen

Many people want to take corona rapid tests. Consequently, there are additional test opportunities during the Pentecost holidays in Tübingen. The test center at the train station / Europaplatz in front of the Café Lieb is new. Swimming possible again

The Tübingen open-air bath opens again on Saturday, May 22nd. Only those who are fully vaccinated – meaning two weeks after the second vaccination for most vaccines –, recovered from corona or can show a negative test result can enter. This test can’t be older than 24 hours. Rottenburg open-air bath opens

Swimmers in Rottenburg can gather their swimming things. The open-air bath opens on Tuesday, May 25th, however, only between 12.30 a.m. and 7 p.m. during the Pentecost holidays. This was announced by Rottenburg’s municipal utilities on their website. Only those with a negative test result, those recovered from corona (at least 28 days and no more than six months after infection) and fully vaccinated (14 days after the second vaccination for most vaccines) can enter. In Baden-Württemberg there are Whitsun holidays from 25 May to 6 June, 24 May is a bank holiday and also free of school.
