Daily, the number of people infected with the coronavirus is rising fast. This is true for the state of Baden-Württemberg and for the rest of Germany. Many people are bringing back the virus from their vacation or are getting infected during gatherings with family or friends. The Minister-President of Baden-Württemberg, Winfried Kretschmann, understands that people are longing for a break. However, he says: “The virus is not taking a summer break.” In fact, the opposite is the case, “It is using every opportunity to spread again.” The head of state wants to avoid a second coronavirus wave as it happened during spring. Consequently, he is appealing to the people in the country through Facebook: “Stay vigilant.” This means: Keep your distance, take care of your hygiene and wear a mask.
