Tenants will not end up on the street during the current corona times due to a lack of money. The new state aid package has provided a regulation. Landlords are not allowed to give eviction notices to tenants between April 1st and June 30th—if they are unable pay their rent due to reduced earnings because reduced working hours or job loss. However, the rent debts have to be paid later on. The tenants’ association recommends talking to the landlord and finding a solution – for example, payment in instalments. Electricity, water and telephone will not be turned off in case of payment difficulties either. However, these sums will have to be paid in later, starting this summer.
