Nigeria gets looted Benin-art back

German museums will return art treasures looted from the former Kingdom of Benin. This was recently agreed upon by representatives of the German and Nigerian governments in Berlin. The former Kingdom of Benin is now part of the West African country of Nigeria. British colonial troops had looted the capital’s palace 125 years ago and taken bronze sculptures and reliefs, among other things. The art treasures were subsequently auctioned off in London to finance the military action. There are about 1100 art objects from Benin in German museums. أمل جديد للأشخاص الذين ينتظرون الحصول على تصريح إقامة

أقرّت الحكومة الاتحادية قانونا يسهل على الأشخاص المعلقة اقامتهم (دولدونغ) البقاء في ألمانيا بشكل دائم. يستهدف القانون الجديد المسمى “فرصة للحصول على الاقامة” الأشخاص الذين لديهم إقامة مؤقتة لمنع الترحيل (دولدونغ) والذين عاشوا في ألمانيا لمدة خمس سنوات على الأقل اعتبارا من 1 يناير 2022. ولكن الشرط الأساسي هو أنهم لم يرتكبوا جريمة ولم يقدِّموا معلومات كاذبة عن أنفسهم. بالإضافة إلى ذلك، يجب عليهم في فترة مدتها عام واحد (تسمى فترة اختبار) اثبات أنهم يستطيعون العيش على الأموال التي يكسبونها بأنفسهم والتحدث باللغة الألمانية بما فيه الكفاية. تُقدّر الحكومة الاتحادية أن حوالي 130000 شخص يمكنهم الاستفادة من هذا القرار في… Read More

Language circus for children from Ukraine

The Family Education Center (FBS) offers a language circus for Ukrainian children between the ages of 6 and 10. The course is free of charge and will take place from Monday, September 5 to Friday, September 9, between 8:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. each day at the Family Education Center (FBS), Hechinger Straße 13. “You can try your hand as acrobats, clowns and magicians and perform your new skills in a small circus show,” says the program booklet. Sprachzirkus für Kinder aus der Ukraine

Einen Sprach-Zirkus für ukrainische Kinder zwischen 6 und 10 Jahren bietet die Familien-Bildungsstätte an. Der Kurs ist kostenlos und findet von Montag, 5. September, bis Freitag, 9. September, jeweils zwischen 8.30 und 13 Uhr in der Familienbildungsstätte (FBS), Hechinger Straße 13, statt. „Ihr könnt Euch als Akrobaten, Clowns und Zauberer ausprobieren und eure neuen Fähigkeiten bei einer kleinen Zirkusshow aufführen“, heißt es im Programmheft.
