It’s going to be exciting: On Monday, October 5th, the tünews INTERNATIONAL team will find out whether they will win the National Integration Award of the German Chancellor. Ten projects from all over Germany have been nominated. The award ceremony begins at 3 p.m. in the Federal Chancellery in Berlin. Due to Corona, only 37 people will be present at the event – in addition to Chancellor Angela Merkel, Annette Widmann-Mauz, the Minister of State for Integration, the jury, and one representative of each of the nominated projects will be present. With the Integration Award, the Federal Government wants to “recognize exemplary commitment”, as its homepage states. In addition, the prizewinner is to be made public and “serve as an example for others to get involved as well”.
