Apply for a residence permit online at the district office

Residence permits can now also be applied for or extended online at the Tübingen District Office. Other residence permits can now also be applied for or extended using the online service of the Tübingen District Office, according to the authority‘s press office. This applies to all people who come from outside the EU and want to live in Germany. The district office is responsible for all foreigners living in Ammerbuch, Bodelshausen, Dettenhausen, Dußlingen, Gomaringen, Hirrlingen, Kirchentellinsfurt, Kusterdingen, Mössingen, Nehren, Neustetten, Oferdingen or Starzach. The service is available in German, English, Turkish, Serbian, Russian, Spanish, Ukrainian and French. Further support is provided by an online help system at:
www.kreis-tuebingen.de/aufenthalt
However, anyone living in the district of Tübingen with a residence permit or tolerated stay cannot use the service. They must then contact the foreigners authority at their place of residence directly.
In Tübingen and Rottenburg, the city’s foreigners authority is responsible for all matters. In Tübingen, residence permits can be applied for online at the following address:

The district’s new offer is also a relief for employers. They can now initiate the “accelerated skilled worker procedure” via the online service. If there is a concrete job offer, it is possible to take action on behalf of a foreign worker.
In the district of Tübingen, more than 140 administrative services can already be used online. These include, for example, vehicle registration, the initial application for a driving license, the housing benefit application or infection protection instruction.
