Мати Ганни повернулася з Тюбінгена до Харкова в Україні в середині червня 2022 року до зруйнованого будинку. Багато її друзів також повертаються до міста, де кожного дня б’ють російські ракети. Близько третини українського населення втекло після ескалації російської агресії проти України з 24 лютого 2022 року. З приблизно 44 мільйонів українців понад сім мільйонів прибули до європейських країн за межами України, а ще близько семи мільйонів були переміщені всередині України.
