A curfew is to be imposed throughout Baden-Württemberg starting Saturday, 12th December. This is the state’s reaction to the current large number of Corona infections. As Prime Minister Kretschmann announced in a press conference on 11th December, only those who have good reason to do so may leave their homes at night from 8 pm to 5 am. Those who have to go to work, to the doctor or to school, for example, are allowed to go to their respective destinations. During the day from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m., people may leave the house to go shopping, meet up to 5 people from a maximum of two households (children under 14 years of age do not count), go to church services or do outdoor sports with their family or alone with a maximum of one other person. There is a general ban on serving alcohol or consuming alcohol in public spaces.
