Europäischer Gerichtshof für Menschenrechte verurteilt Griechenland

Zum zweiten Mal hat der Europäischen Gerichtshof für Menschenrechte (EGMR) in Straßburg das EU-Land Griechenland Anfang 2024 wegen Menschenrechtsverletzungen gegenüber schutzsuchenden Geflüchteten verurteilt. Das Ereignis liegt fast 10 Jahre zurück: Am 22. September 2014 wollte die griechische Küstenwache in der Nähe der Insel Pserimos ein Flüchtlingsboot stoppen und gab dabei 13 Schüsse auf das Boot ab. Aid organizations criticize the EU asylum compromise
