Germany ticket now with KBC discount in Tübingen

Holders of a KreisBonusCard (KBC) resident in Tübingen can now order the discounted Deutschlandticket. This was announced by the Naldo transport association. The ticket costs 15 euros for adults and is valid from 1 March. For school pupils, trainees and volunteers living in Tübingen, a discounted Deutschlandticket Jugend-BW will be available from March at a price of 10 euros with a KreisBonusCard. The normal Deutschlandticket costs 34 euros in Tübingen and 49 euros everywhere else. A new law will make naturalisation easier from April

Members of the German Bundestag have made it easier to obtain German citizenship. The bill to modernise citizenship law was passed on 19 January 2024 by 382 votes to 234 with 23 abstentions. Nationwide warning strike in public transport

The trade union Verdi has announced a nationwide warning strike in local public transport for Friday. In some cities in Germany, there may be considerable restrictions on bus and train services. A recently published study by the Institute for Applied Economic Research (IAW) in Tübingen and the SOKO Institute in Bielefeld sheds light on the increasing exodus of foreign skilled workers from Germany.
