Längere Arbeitstage im Homeoffice

Wegen der Corona-Pandemie arbeiten momentan viele Personen von zu Hause aus. ForscherInnen der Harvard Business School und der New York University haben nun herausgefunden, dass Menschen im Homeoffice täglich etwa 48,5 Minuten mehr arbeiten als zuvor. Für ihre Studie haben sie das digitale Arbeitsverhalten von 3,1 Millionen MitarbeiterInnen aus mehreren tausend Firmen, die in Nordamerika, Europa und dem Nahen Osten sind, untersucht. Funded tutoring available during the holidays

Children, teenagers and young adults who come from low-income families, for example those who receive social benefits from the Jobcenter, are eligible for funding for private tutoring sessions during the summer holidays. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, many students have had limited access to classes since March. Private tutoring during the summer holidays offers students a good opportunity to catch up on missed school work. The administrative district office (Landratsamt) will pay for the tutoring costs. Neues Programm für akademische Geflüchtete im Bereich Informatik

Häufig haben geflüchtete AkademikerInnen Schwierigkeiten damit, ihre im Ausland erworbenen Abschlüsse und Studienleistungen in Deutschland anerkennen zu lassen. Hier hilft jetzt ein neues Qualifizierungsprogramm an der Hochschule Reutlingen im Bereich Informatik. Das Ziel ist, ihnen zu ermöglichen, sich weiter auszubilden, damit ihre Abschlüsse in Deutschland anerkannt werden können. Die TeinehmerInnen werden betreut und bekommen ein individualisiertes Studienprogramm. Durch das Programm sollen die AkerdemikerInnen schneller in den Arbeitsmarkt kommen.  Zum Wintersemester 2020/21 werden die ersten Teilnehmerinnen und Teilnehmer an der Hochschule Reutlingen aufgenommen. Inflation in Syria: More than nine million people are suffering from hunger

The media researcher Thomas Hestermann from the Macromedia University of Applied Sciences investigated this in a study for the Migration Media Service. The quality of life of children and adolescents in Germany deteriorated during the Corona crisis.
