How the Naldo semester ticket works

There is a special semester ticket for students for public transport. This can be found on the website of the transport association Naldo. The semester ticket costs 114.10 euros for one semester and is then valid for all buses and trains in the Naldo transport association. The area includes the districts of Tübingen, Reutlingen, Zollernalbkreis and Sigmaringen.
The ticket is valid for as long as the semester lasts. Students can buy the semester ticket directly online via the website https://www.naldo.de/. Semester tickets are also available at local public transport sales points in Tübingen and Reutlingen, at Omnibus Groß in Rottenburg and SWEG (formerly HZL), and from Deutsche Bahn.
When purchasing the semester ticket, a valid student ID must be presented, the current semester and the Naldo logo must be printed on it. The ticket is only valid with the current student ticket. If the university does not provide student tickets, a certificate of enrollment together with a photo ID will be accepted as an alternative.
After purchase, the semester ticket must be filled out completely and signed. The semester ticket is valid only for its owner. In case of loss, a free replacement is only possible for tickets purchased online. The ticket is not valid for bus lines X82/826/828 between Dettenhausen and Leinfelden/Stuttgart Airport.
If you live outside the Naldo area in a neighboring region and commute, you can buy a connecting ticket to the semester ticket. For example, it costs 307 euros per semester for the Stuttgart transport association VVS. This can also be interesting for interns.
The map of the entire Naldo network can be found here: https://www.naldo.de/fileadmin/media/fahrplan/2022-naldo-regionnetzplan.pdf.
