Ukraine film series at Kino Atelier continues

The series of Ukrainian films at Tübingen’s Kino Atelier continues. Next up on Monday, July 3 at 6 p.m. is the film “My thoughts are silent” by filmmaker Antonio Lukich. The film series is part of the project “Live Fight Love Rebuild—The Realities of Life in Ukraine”. It was created to familiarize the local society with Ukrainian culture. The films are shown once a month in Ukrainian with English subtitles. The continuation of the film series was made possible by the cooperation of the Atelier cinema, the SonnenBlau initiative, the German-French Cultural Institute in Tübingen and the support of the Institut français.
After the film screenings, the Café Haag offers the opportunity to meet new people and to exchange ideas not only about the film. One can also donate to aid organizations there. The money will be used for humanitarian and medical aid in Ukraine.
The other films: Terykony (August 7), Evge (September 4) and Inner Wars (October 9). It always starts at 6 p.m. at Kino Atelier, Vor dem Haagtor 1. The ticket price is 6 euros. Tickets are available online or at the box office.
“Living in freedom and peace. Is that a right? Is it a privilege? Is it a contradiction? It is something that must be fought for, developed, protected and nurtured. Every person who wants to live in freedom and peace has his own struggle. We are similar, and at the same time we are very different from others. With this cycle we want to show the life of people in Ukraine,” says the website about the project.
