No special student Germany ticket yet

The Naldo transport association does not yet offer a discounted Germany ticket specifically for students. This was confirmed by Naldo spokeswoman Anne Lohmüller at the request of Tünews International. However, there are already discounts for under 27-year-olds—sepecially those enrolled at universities.
The student version of the Deutschlandticket has been in force on paper since April. If the regulation were implemented locally, the ticket would then cost 29.40 euros. The regular price in the city of Tübingen is 34 euros, outside the city it is 49 euros. However, the introduction must be applied for, says the Naldo spokesperson: “The student representatives are now on the ball.” They have to campaign for the ticket to be introduced. The main beneficiaries would be students over the age of 27. A so-called full solidarity model would be introduced – all students would have to buy a ticket. But even then, counter-financing would still be necessary, says Lohmüller.
In Baden-Württemberg, however, there is already a Deutschlandticket Jugend BW. It is valid for all students up to the age of 27 on local public transport throughout Germany and costs 30.42 euros per month or 182.50 euros as a semester ticket for six months. For everyone else, it is only available up to the age of 21, but there are discounts for Tübingen residents: they only pay 22 euros – but only if they are not studying. Students at the universities of Tübingen, Reutlingen and Albstadt are eligible for the student version. The third option is a regular semester ticket for the entire Naldo network: It costs 141.90 euros per semester for all five honeycombs. You would not be able to travel to Heilbronn, for example.
