First Orientation Course at the Adult Education Center Tübingen

The Volkshochschule Tübingen offers a “First Orientation Course – Welcome to Tübingen!” in March on one morning and one afternoon date. The free course is aimed at refugees aged 18 and older who are still in the asylum process and do not come from a safe country of origin. Those who have only been in Germany for a short time will find help in this course to orient themselves in everyday life and can gain a basic knowledge of the German language. Topics of the course include health and medical care, orientation and local characteristics, German culture and values, as well as kindergarten and school. In addition, the focus is on learning German at an easy level for everyday use. The courses have a scope of 300 teaching units, i.e. a total of 57 dates. The course is sponsored by the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees.

Those who already have a residence permit and are waiting for an integration course can also participate. The courses take on Tuesdays to Thursdays at the same time and start on: Tuesday, 8th March from 8:30 to 12:30, vhs Tübingen, room 017 and Tuesday, 8th March from 13:30 to 17:30, vhs Tübingen, room 213 in each case in Katharinenstraße 18, 72072 Tübingen.

There are still seats available in both courses. Registration is not possible via the homepage, but only in person with Susanne Christel:
