Book an on-site appointment at the Tübingen Foreigners’ Registration Office at the terminal

Some things are now easier to do at the Tübingen Foreigners’ Registration Office: Extending residence permits and tolerated stay permits, applying for or extending fictitious certificates, submitting applications and documents and transferring residence permits to a new passport. For these services, which do not take long, an on-site appointment can be booked for the same day at a new terminal in the Foreigners’ Registration Office (address: Bei der Fruchtschranne 5). So far, however, this is only possible in German.
The terminal is located in the entrance area directly to the right of the information desk. It works like this: At the terminal, click on the sentence “I have not made an appointment” and then either “Asylverfahren-Aufenthaltsgestattung/Duldung” or “Andere Anliegen”. If they are available, several possible appointments will then appear for the same day. If the desired time is also selected, the terminal will automatically print out a slip of paper with the time and waiting number. Appointments for the morning can only be booked during opening hours on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays between 8.30 am and 12.30 pm, according to the city council. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, appointments for the respective afternoon (Tuesdays until 6 pm, Thursdays until 4 pm) can be selected from 2 pm.
All other matters such as the issue or extension of a residence permit or the submission of a declaration of commitment can only be dealt with using a corresponding online application—which can be found on the city’s homepage—or by sending an email to auslaenderamt@tuebingen.de.
