Kita lingua: Language course for future nursery teachers

In October 2024, a language course will start for people with a migration background who want to train as nursery teachers in daycare centers. The project is a cooperation between the University of Tübingen and the city administration. It is being run for the second time. Tübinger Tafel: free coffee and cake in the café

Eat cake, drink coffee or juice and talk to each other without having to pay: Tafel customers can do all of this in the café at Eisenbahnstraße 57 in Tübingen. It opened in September 2023. There is space for guests at bistro tables inside and on an outdoor terrace. Refugees often find people in the café with whom they can talk in their native language. دورة لغة للمربيات والمربيين في رياض الأطفال

Die Videojournalistin Franzi Heiler hat ein Ziel: MigrantInnen das Ankommen in Deutschland zu erleichtern, damit sie ein eigenständiges Leben aufbauen können. Dazu hat sie im Frühjahr 2023 easy newstime gegründet. Mit etwa fünf Minuten langen Nachrichten-Videos in leichter Sprache möchte sie Politik, Wirtschaft, Kultur und Gesellschaft erklären – kostenlos und online. Prize honors integration projects

Tübingen is awarding the Integration Prize again this year for the first time since Corona. Applications can be submitted until Monday, August 5. The prize honors projects and initiatives in Tübingen. They should promote diversity, equal opportunities for participation, cohesion in the city and combat discrimination. The projects can be active in areas such as culture, politics, social affairs, art, language and sport. Warnung vor Fluchtgefahren erhöht den Wunsch auszuwandern

Seit 2015 fördert die Europäische Union (EU) Informations-Kampagnen in Herkunftsländern von Geflüchteten. Deren Ziel ist es, über die Gefahren von Flucht und den Menschenschmuggel durch Schleuser aufzuklären und dadurch irreguläre Migration zu reduzieren. Eine Studie der Internationalen Organisation für Migration (IOM) hat nun untersucht, was diese Kampagnen bewirken. Dafür wurden Interviews mit rund 13.000 jungen Erwachsenen in lokalen Gebieten von zehn Ländern Afrikas und Asiens ausgewertet, darunter Nigeria, Pakistan, Afghanistan und Somalia.
