ЄС узгодив нову спільну політику надання притулку

10 квітня 2024 року Європейський парламент схвалив реформу Загальноєвропейської системи надання притулку (CEAS), яку планували вісім років. Цей так званий компроміс щодо притулку тепер має бути схвалений усіма країнами ЄС у Раді ЄС у травні, що вважається безсумнівним. Після цього узгоджене законодавство набуде чинності. Однак країнам ЄС знадобиться два роки для його впровадження, а отже, воно почне застосовуватися лише з другої половини 2026 року. Федеральний уряд повинен представити план впровадження до кінця цього року. Для цього мають бути розроблені та прийняті різні законодавчі поправки.
