“Klimaterroristen” (climate terrorists) and “Sozialtourismus” (social tourism) are Unwords of the Year 2022

A word can be defamatory or discriminatory. Such a word is called a Unword. Every year, a jury chooses the unwords of the previous year. For the year 2022, the jury put the term “climate terrorists” in first place. Activists for more climate protection would be “criminalised and defamed”, the jury said. By equating them with terrorism, “non-violent forms of protest of civil disobedience and democratic resistance are placed in the context of violence and hostility to the state”. Maskenpflicht in Bus und Bahn endet

Baden-Württemberg (BW) schafft Ende Januar alle Corona-Einschränkungen ab, die das Bundesland selbst festlegen konnte. Das heißt: Es gibt ab Dienstag, 31. Januar, in BW keine Maskenpflicht mehr im öffentlichen Personennahverkehr (ÖPNV). Auch das Personal in Arzt- und Zahnarztpraxen sowie in psychotherapeutischen Praxen muss dann keine Masken mehr bei der Arbeit tragen. Das hat das Landeskabinett beschlossen. Dennoch empfehlen Fachleute weiter, in geschlossenen Räumen eine Maske zu tragen. Das gilt besonders für gefährdete Menschen. Noch bis 2. Februar muss im Fernverkehr eine Maske getragen werden. Derzeit gibt es für ukrainische Geflüchtete keine kostenlosen ehrenamtlichen Dolmetscher im Kreis Tübingen. Allerdings können Behörden und Institutionen den Dienst des Caritas Dolmetscher-Pools nutzen, teilt die Pressestelle des Landratsamts Tübingen mit. Privatleute können auf diesen Service aber nicht zurückgreifen. Wer dringend eine Übersetzung von Geburts- oder Heiratsurkunden benötigt, etwa, um sich beim Tübinger Ausländeramt anzumelden, kann sich aber beim Slavischen Seminar der Tübinger Uni melden (slavistik@uni-tuebingen.de). Integrationskurse: Hilfe beim Ankommen

Um Geflüchteten aus der Ukraine die Orientierung in Deutschland zu erleichtern, bietet die Bundesregierung Integrationskurse und -angebote für Schutzsuchende aus der Ukraine, die eine befristete Aufenthaltserlaubnis nach § 24 des Aufenthaltsgesetzes haben. Dies ist auf der Internetseite des Bundesinnenministeriums nachzulesen. Jeder Integrationskurs besteht aus einem Sprach- und einem Orientierungskurs. Allgemeine Integrationskurse dauern 700 Unterrichtseinheiten zu 45 Minuten. Neben diesen allgemeinen Integrationskursen gibt es auch spezielle Angebote, zum Beispiel für Frauen, Eltern oder Jugendliche, sowie Intensivkurse.
