Immigration: More opportunities for skilled workers

There is a shortage of well-trained people in many sectors in Germany. That is why there is a new law to allow skilled workers to immigrate. This is new from November 18: foreign skilled workers with vocational training or academic qualifications are entitled to a residence permit. Voraussetzung ist allerdings, dass die Stadt Tübingen den Stadtwerken die entgangenen Einnahmen ersetzt. Die Chancen dafür stehen gut: Bereits für dieses Jahr wurden dafür Gelder im Haushalt vorgesehen. Aber nicht alle wurden entdeckt. Wer beim Schummeln erwischt wird, muss mit Konsequenzen rechnen: einer Sperre von maximal einem Dreiviertel-Jahr bis zur nächsten Prüfung. Only with a mask in the Tübingen hospital

Neue Regeln für den Kinderreisepass

Der klassische deutsche Kinderreisepass läuft aus. Vom 1. Januar gibt es einen neuen elektronischen Reisepass mit Chip. Das teilt das Bundesinnenministerium in Berlin mit. Bereits ausgestellte Kinderreisepässe können aber so lange verwendet werden, bis sie ungültig werden, heißt es weiter. Allerdings weist das Ministerium darauf hin, dass manche Staaten schon jetzt verlängerte Kinderreisepässe nicht mehr akzeptieren.
