Celebrating privately at Christmas: it is best to be vaccinated

Anyone who wants to celebrate privately with others at Christmas should ideally be vaccinated. Without vaccination, only one additional person may be added to one’s own household during alert levels I or II, according to the Corona Ordinance of the State of Baden-Württemberg of 3 December 2021. Visitors with full vaccination protection or those who recovered are not included. Their visits are therefore allowed. Baden-Württemberg begrenzt Kontakte bei privaten Treffen

Die Landesregierung in Baden-Württemberg verschärft vor Weihnachten noch einmal die Corona-Regeln. Sie gelten ab Montag, 20. Dezember. In der aktuellen Alarmstufe II werden die Kontakte weiter beschränkt: Wenn eine nicht geimpfte oder nicht genesene Person an einem privaten Treffen teilnimmt, darf ein Haushalt nur noch mit einer Person aus einem anderen Haushalt zusammenkommen. Kinder und Jugendliche unter 18 Jahren werden nicht mitgezählt. Auch für Geimpfte und Genesene gelten Kontaktbeschränkungen. Journalismus wird von Jahr zu Jahr gefährlicher

Immer mehr JournalistInnen kommen ins Gefängnis, weil sie ihre Arbeit machen. 2021 waren am 1. Dezember weltweit 488 Medienschaffende in Haft. Das sind insgesamt 20 Prozent mehr als 2020. Besonders viele Fälle zählt die Organisation Reporter ohne Grenzen in China, Myanmar und Belarus: Dort sind 212 JournalistInnen eingesperrt. Aktuell gelten 65 Medienschaffende als entführt. Fast alle Entführungen geschahen in Syrien, dem Irak und dem Jemen. Nach der Jahresbilanz der Pressefreiheit kamen weniger JournalistInnen als sonst wegen ihrer Arbeit ums Leben. New quarantine rules because of Omicron variant

Baden-Württemberg is tightening quarantine rules because of the new variant of the Corona virus. These rules apply from 15 December. The University Hospital of Tübingen and the district of Tübingen are offering a vaccination against Corona for children. Red Cross vaccinates in Entringen

The German Red Cross (DRK) Ammerbuch is expanding its services at the test center in Entringen. There are not only corona tests but also vaccinations from 8 December. Lern-Café Tübingen: Deutsch Lernen für Ausbildung und Studium

Von Oula Mahfouz Seit dem Jahr 2015 sind viele Geflüchtete nach Deutschland gekommen und seither engagieren sich hierzulande zahlreiche Menschen ehrenamtlich, um die Angekommenen beim Deutschlernen zu unterstützen. Eine dieser Initiativen ist das Lern-Café in Ulm. Es wendet sich an Zugewanderte, die im Sprachkurs, in der Berufsschule oder auf dem Weg ins Studium sind. tünews INTERNATIONAL hat Amer Alabdallah zum neuen Lern-Café in Tübingen interviewt. „Mittlerweile haben wir auch für Tübingen und Reutlingen ein Lern-Café eröffnet.
